DUMMEST TIRE KINGDOM OF ALL, KISS., FL

THE VERY FIRST TIME I EVER WENT TO TIRE KINGDOM WAS ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. I PURCHASED 4 TIRES, AND WAS THERE AT ABOUT 8:00 AM. IT TOOK THEM 5 HOURS TO INSTALL THE TIRES. TO MAKE MATTERS WORST THERE WERE JUST 2 CARS. WOW!!!!! LAST YEAR I WENT BACK AND I TOOK MY 56,000 ORIGINAL MILES FORD RANGER FOR A QUOTE ON GETTING SOME WORK DONE. I WAS TOLD BY A JESSE JAMES LOOK- A - LIKE, THAT I NEEDED TO PAY $900.00 TO REPLACE THE BALL JOINTS. THE BEST IS YET TO COME. I WANTED TO CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION OIL, AND WAS TOLD THAT MY CAR WAS 10 YEARS OLD, AND THAT I SHOULD LEAVE IT ALONE. "A NICE WAY OF TELLING ME "THROW IT AWAY"! FORGOT TO MENTION THAT MY CAR IS IN IMMACULATE CONDITION, ITS GARAGE KEPT. AAAHHH, ALMOST FORGOT, BEWARE OF THE "BUY 2 TIRES, AND GET 2 FREE", BELIEVE ME IT WILL COST YOU!!!

I would have told you to leave your tranny fluid alone also....on an older car if you flush and fill your tranny fluid it can actually do more harm than good....all of the built up crud that has settled can be stirred up and cause tranny issues.

Btw, if you don't like your job and want to complain about your pay.. then find another job.

It's not the consumers fault that you decided to work for a company that doesn't pay well. We expect good, reliable, honest service, and since we DO pay your paycheck you'd think you'd want to make us happy.

Guest

Actually, I just went to the Lehigh location and was there for 5 hours waiting to have 4 tires installed. The original poster isn't lying about that..

plus, they said my rack and pinnion had a leak. Kinda funny since I just had my engine replaced and a full inspection done on my car. I was also quoted 538 and was charged 589. They wouldn't release the car unless I paid.

Thanks for taking this weeks groceries. The price won me over, the *** service will keep ne from going back.

Guest

And tire techs are only paid 6.35 an hr. So think about that next time you have a *** complaint

Guest

I work for tire kingdom...if u dont like our work or price go somewhere else...and to be honest none of us really give a rats *** how long it takes to do your tires you are just another car in an assembly line of other cars...just trying to pay my bills

Guest

You cant spell and are probably not speaking truth or aren't telling whole story...This company would never make you or anyone else wait 5 hrs. for tires...unless they need to pick them up and then they would let you know ahead of time...I,m a customer and very happy with the buy 2 get 2 program with my tire size..used them for many yrs and very happy...Try to remember were all humans and can make a mistake at times...T/C my frind

Tire Kingdom gives free courtesy check, adds hole to battery.

I went to Sebastian Fl tire kingdom. They pushed a free courtesy check. I declined a repair that I knew about. Several montyhs later, the battery terminals are blue with a 1/4 inch build-up of acid corrosion. Upon checking, I find a 3 cornered hole, in the shape of a knife tip beneath the negative battery terminal. I know they had the terminal off because I had to reset the clock on the dash. If it had been a clumsy hand or a normal failure, the crack would be symmetrical, not 3 cornered. Of course, I cannot prove anything, but beware letting Tire Kingdom push a free courtesy check, it ain't free.

Today I was provided poor customer service by getting

1. Put down

2. Lied to (these guys make commission)

3. Threatened

4. Work I asked to be done was incomplete and damage done to my vehicle.

Never again will I use Tire Kingdom. I called the number I suppose to headquarters and made a complaint since the Manager at this store was rude and had a *** poor attitude. :upset

Guest

Blue, white. A matter of opinion.

The repair was not a terminal cleaning, but associated with the fan resistor.

Nothing of couorse, explains the hole in the top of the battery.

Guest

Really? The "blue" corrosion is from an insufficient ground.

I'm guessing you drive an import, most likely a toyota or nissan...it's common. They probably suggested a battery terminal cleaning, which you most likely declined. Even if the caps were taken off of the battery, it would look different.

Acid leaves a "white" film. Corrosion happens....get over it.

BROKE MY TPS SENSORS

I took my truck into the store on SW 132 street in Miami to get a nail removed from my tire. Upon leaving my TPS light was on and would not go out. I was told that I needed to drive my truck for 10 minutes over 15 MPH to reset the computer. This is 3 days and 200 miles later my TPS light is still on. The sales guy told me that had may or may not be able to fix it. I may need to have it fixed by Dodge. Basically, I bought the tires and everything needed including the premium insurance and TIRE KINGDOM is telling me to hit the road. I have been using this store for over 15 years, so much for customer loyalty! The sales guy told me that he did make his daily quota by 10AM

Tire Kingdom is a horrible company to work for. My husband has worked his *** off for them for over 7 yrs. and he gets no appreciation. They could care less about your family. My husband works 6 days and week sometimes 7. Conference calls scheduled for 6 am and he gets up and ready then his boss cancels them. My husband has to miss out on so much. Just made him go to Atlanta last week now to Virginia this week because he has a losing store. Well the reason his store sucks is bc of his boss. My husband has successfully helped build up several stores and now he is stuck in a *** hole. None of the District or Corporate people give a ***. My husband has a college education and knowledge beyond any of these fakes. Sooooo sick of the short notice bs from Tire Kingdom and bc my husband wont lie to his customers, he is in the dog house. I really wish they gave a *** about how they affect peoples lives. Vacation and sick time you can even use. My husbands blood pressure is sky high, his health is bad, he drinks, smokes bc he is constantly worried about these ***. It sucks!

I know how you feel. My fiance works for Tire Kingdom and he gets *** on all the time.

His store closes at 8 and they will allow a car to pull in at 7:45 that needs at least 2 hours of labor and say "Oh sure we can get it done tonight!" without ever going to ask if any of the workers can stay. No such thing as overtime there, even though he works nearly 60 hours a week, every week.

A lot of days he does not even get to take his lunch break. Piece of *** company and I tell EVERYONE I know about it.

Tire Kingdom's Blatant Attempt to Defraud

MY ORIGINAL COMPLAINT :

A: I received a "new" set of almost five year old tires that have all separated with more than 50% tread left on them.

B: 22" Custom wheels damaged

ISSUE A: I purchased 4 new tires from the Waco, TX National Tire and Battery store, under phone number 254-716-****. We then moved to Florida where ONE of the tires separated and was replaced by the Palm Bay, Fl Tire Kingdom store on HWY 192. We then had TWO more tires begin to separate and took the car into have the tires checked before a long road trip. Mike, the manager of the Palm Bay, Fl Tire Kindgom store on Malabar Rd refused to agree that the tires were separating, even though the vehicle had a significant low-speed wobble and high-speed vibration. His solution was to keep rotating the tires around to different positions until the vibration and wobble would go away, unsuccessfully. We proceeded to drive the vehicle on a 2800 mile road trip, during which, we experienced a constant vibration that worsened throughout the trip. Upon returning to Palm Bay, FL we took the vehicle to the Palm Bay Tire Kingdom store on Hwy 192, where Manager Jose informed us that we had TWO tires separating, but would only one be covered by the pro-rated road hazard warranty because there were nails in the sidewall of both tires (the nails were never shown to me). We paid the pro-rated value for two new tires, as we had not choice, the tires were separating and leaking air, they could not be driven over 40 MPH. We now have ONE tire beginning to separate. The vehicle once again has a low-speed wobble and a high-speed vibration. The Hwy 192 store said the tire is fine, but by this time and with these tires, I KNOW what the beginnings of a tire separation feel like. With this being the FOURTH and last of the original tires purchased at the Waco store, we have now had all FOUR of the nearly-five-year-old-tires fail with 50% of tread left on them. Just to be clear.. we have had to pay to replace these tires that have 50% of tread left on them due to them separating.

ISSUE B: When the tires were purchased and installed at the Waco, TX store, the wrong tire machine was used on the wheel. This improper installation inflicted damage to the chrome plating on the inside of the wheel bead. This lead to chronic air leakage, leaving us no choice but to put air in our tire every 3 days for almost two years now. During one of the latest repairs at the store on Hwy 192 another one of the wheels was damaged, but this time the chrome plating was chipped off so badly that the is now chipped 3-4 inch piece off of the outside of the wheel bead. This tire now needs air daily. Inevitably, the new tire that is installed on this wheel will be damaged as it often is driven with inadequate tire pressure.

Overall, we are significantly disappointed with the initial tire purchase. Unbeknownst to us, we were sold tires that were nearly 5 years old. When this was discovered during the first visit to the HWY 192 store, I called the Manager of the Waco store, David, that sold us the tires. He stated that those tires should have never been put on that car and if he would have known hold old they were, he would not have sold them to us.

When visiting the Malabar Rd store in Palm Bay, FL I was told that we had not rotated the tires properly. But really it is the stores that do not rotate the tires properly. When tires are cross-rotated, as NTB and Tire Kingdom do, this reverses the rotation of the belts inside the tire, causing them to separate, which in turn, causes the customer to buy new tires. I, personally, am the son of a 3rd generation mechanic. I was mounting and balancing white-walls when I was 10 years old and doing alignments when I was 12. I did not appreciate the run-around excuses that I received from NTB when I presented problems that would later be confirmed. It was only after the tires had been physically damaged by nails that NTB/Tire Kingdom would acknowledge that the tires were separating. NTB and Tire Kingdom are sister stores, owned by the same Corporation.

RECEIVE BUSINESS RESPONSE : Our company has attempted to resolve this matter with the customer. Tire Kingdom's Area Directors, Ken Arnold and Jon Ditchman, contacted Mr. Rogers. Mr. Arnold left several voice mails for Mr. Rogers without a response to date. Mr. Rogers' tires have not been rotated in 45,000 miles and the customer does not have any documentation that shows any history of tire rotation. The tires only last approximately 20,000 miles and the customer has double the mileage on the tires without any rotation. The lack of rotation and excessive mileage on the tires are causing the current issues with wear and separation. The tires have no mileage warranty and the store offered a proration on his tires which is equivalent to 50% off a set of four tires as customer goodwill. Based on the mileage and the lack of rotation, Mr. Rogers is not eligible for free replacement on his tires. Area Director, Jon Ditchman, also contacted Mr. Rogers and explained that the store installed Mr. Rogers tires back in 2009 and if the wheels were scratched at that time, he would have noticed the scratches immediately after having his tires installed. The wheels are not chrome wheels that are sold by the store and they were already on his vehicle when he brought it into the store. Mr. Ditchman explained that chrome naturally peels over time due to oxidation. It is a common occurrence with chrome wheels. Mr. Ditchman is not extending an offer of restitution to the customer based on the fact that the store is not liable for wheels they did not sell to Mr. Rogers. Tire Kingdom strives for exceptional customer service and takes customer feedback very seriously. If he remains unsatisfied with our attempts to handle the situation, kindly have him contact our Area Director, Ken Arnold, directly @ 561-714-**** or Area Director, Jon Ditchman, directly at 832-452-**** to discuss any remaining concerns. We look forward to helping Mr. Brad Rogers in the future with all of his automotive needs and will do our best to give him the exceptional customer service we focus on everyday. Thank you for your assistance with this case.

MY RESPONSE:

02/08/2011 WEB BBB BBB REVIEWS CONSUMER REBUTTAL TO BUSINESS RESPONSE : (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

Please see excerpts from the Company's response accompanied by my responses below:

1. "Tire Kingdom's Area Directors, Ken Arnold and Jon Ditchman, contacted Mr. Rogers. Mr. Arnold left several voice mails for Mr. Rogers without a response to date."

- No phone call, no voice mail received. Phone numbers are: 254-339-**** and 254-176-**** Reachable 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM EST

2. "Mr. Rogers' tires have not been rotated in 45,000 miles and the customer does not have any documentation that shows any history of tire rotation."

- This is either a blatant falsehood in an attempt to defraud and/or the mileage records are incorrect in the company's database. If there has been tampering of the mileages in the company's system, this will get very legal.

3. "The tires only last approximately 20,000 miles and the customer has double the mileage on the tires without any rotation"

- Again, false. We have not doubled the mileage and there were 3 rotations. Tire life is based on tread. All tires had more then 50% tread left when replaced.

4. The lack of rotation and excessive mileage on the tires are causing the current issues with wear and separation"

- Improper rotation methods and old tires were the cause of the first separations of the tires, very early in the tires' lives on the vehicle.

5. "The tires have no mileage warranty and the store offered a proration on his tires which is equivalent to 50% off a set of four tires as customer goodwill"

- This is false. No such offer was ever extended to me by any store, employee of a store or any representative of Tire Kingdom or NTB. In fact, 2 stores refused to replace two of the separating tires at proration, telling me that they were not separating (See original complaint). Only after "nails" were in the sidewalls, would the store then prorate new tires for us. (We were never shown the nails, the tires were/are leaking because of the damaged wheels)

6. "Based on the mileage and the lack of rotation, Mr. Rogers is not eligible for free replacement on his tires..."

- Based on the fact that company-reported mileage and rotation history are incorrect and can be proven by the original tickets/receipts received, I gather that I am eligible.

7. "...Area Director, Jon Ditchman, also contacted Mr. Rogers and explained..."

- What is the date and time of this conversation? I, Mr. Brad Rogers, have had no contact and/or conversation with Mr. Jon Ditchman. It is very concerning that a nonexistent conversation has been reported, herein. I must request to deal with professionals that do not and will not report falsehoods.

8. "...that the store installed Mr. Rogers tires back in 2009 and if the wheels were scratched at that time, he would have noticed the scratches immediately after having his tires installed. The wheels are not chrome wheels that are sold by the store and they were already on his vehicle when he brought it into the store."

- The wheels were all sufficiently holding air before the installation of the supposed-new tires. It was the day after the installation when we took the vehicle back and reported that one of the tires was not holding air. It was then that the sales representative informed us the the tire machine had chipped chrome plating from the inside bead of the tire, preventing the tire from making a complete seal to the bead. During the last visit, the damage was then extended from the inside of the wheel to the outside of the wheel.

9. "Mr. Ditchman explained that chrome naturally peels over time due to oxidation. It is a common occurrence with chrome wheels."

- Again, no such explanation was received from Mr. Ditchman. However, these wheels were brand new and there was/is no oxidation on the wheels. The only place that the chrome is chipping away is where the tire machine "rides" the wheel between the rim and the tire to separate the wheel from the tire. This is not a coincidence.

10. "Mr. Ditchman is not extending an offer of restitution to the customer based on the fact that the store is not liable for wheels they did not sell to Mr. Rogers."

- Based on this statement, any customer that buy tires from Tire Kingdom, but does not buy their wheels at Tire Kingdom, does business with Tire Kingdom at their-own-risk? Well noted. I will help spread the word.

11. "Tire Kingdom strives for exceptional customer service and takes customer feedback very seriously."

- Based on the this response received from the company, it seems that the company has already decided to free themselves of all liable and obligation to provide quality Customer Service. Furthermore, the company seems to have already solved all concerns and explained it all to the customer without having ever made any actual contact or having any actual conversation with said customer. I seriously recommended that my original complaint be reviewed in its entirety. Ensure that it is completely understood and thoroughly and accurately researched.

12. "If he remains unsatisfied with our attempts to handle the situation, kindly have him contact our Area Director, Ken Arnold, directly @ 561-714-**** or Area Director, Jon Ditchman, directly at 832-452-**** to discuss any remaining concerns."

- Obviously, I remain very unsatisfied with the company's attempts to handle this situation. Based on the inconsistencies reported in the company's response, I have chosen to document my response via the BBB channel. I will be looking forward to receiving some ACTUAL contact and ACTUAL conversations with professional representatives Tire Kingdom, however, I will be expecting more than faultless comments. I will be expecting a professional explanation as to: why I have had so much trouble getting faulty tires replaced; why my family had to drive 2500 miles on vibrating, separating tires; why the company's mileage records have changed; why do the company's records not show my rotations; why it is reported to the BBB that conversations have been held when they have not; why a tire machine removing the chrome from my wheel is my fault and not the tire machine operator's fault; and based on the company's response of false reports, why should I even continue to have the convoluted expectations of a satisfactory outcome of this and not simply file a law suit.

13. "We look forward to helping Mr. Brad Rogers in the future with all of his automotive needs and will do our best to give him the exceptional customer service we focus on everyday."

- Don't count on it. I have purchased tires for all of my company and personal vehicles at NTB for the last 12 years under phone numbers: 254-379-****, 254-662-****, 254-776-****, 254-339-****, and 254-744-****; I am appalled at the blatant attempt to defraud and misrepresent the situation to the BBB and to myself. Absolutely disappointed.

Tire Kingdom sells OLD tires to customers!

I went in a year ago to get new tires at the Tire Kingdom on Essen Lane in Baton Rouge. They offered me two front tires for $139 each. Within four months of driving, these tires started to tear and crackle. I took my car into my mercedes dealership for a service and they told me I needed new tires. I didn't believe them and told them that I had just got new tires put on my car seven months before. Here it is a year later and I went back to Tire Kingdom for an alignment yesterday as my steering wheel was out of wack and pulling severely to the left. The service department called me and said that I needed to get two new front tires as they were ruined from my car being out of alignment. They did NOT fix my alignment and still charged me. I did not buy new tires from them as I had just bought them a year ago. I did however go and get new tires this morning from a different tire place and they told me that both of the front tires were dated 2004! I had those tires put on in 2011! I have a 2 year old daughter and could have had a blowout at any time. These people are scam artists and should not be in business! Beware! Check your tires before leaving the shop when purchasing new tires or go to a trusted workshop.

wow. similar thing happened to me.

went to honda to have random work done, and guy noticed my tires in the front are messed and need replacement. (I think he exaggerated a little but still) he checked them plus the back while doing the random other work. comes back to tell me that the back tires are the original tires from 2004. Car is 2005.

Had new one's put on from tire kingdom in 2011. -.- and while i don't have a small child, my mother just got out of the hospital and can't walk so that's great.

I feel really safe driving her around to appointments now.

Welshed on a Deal

I had bought 4 new tires in June at Trie Kingdom while I was coming back from New Orleans, driving home to Florida, on vacation, my car starts vibrating, this was December 26. I had to stop 3 times checking my tires, a man was putting air in his tires and I asked if I had enough air in my tires. He told me that it had to be the tires and alignment, I did not believe him, since I had new tires so I went back on the road and once again my steering started shaking. I was in Gulfport Mississippi, thankfully I had a GPS that showed me a Meineke Car Center and I pulled over and they said I had to replace the two front tires. I came back to complain to Tire Kingdom offered me three options one was $50.00, which I though was low, since I spent $400.00 at their store, but I agreed, and they welsched on that deal.

Tire Kingdom cheats on clients

I left my car in Tire Kingdom for tire change and balance. An hour later they called my and told me, that my car needed alignment and new break pads. I said "no, I'll do it myself". When I took my car home I checked the pads and I SAW that NO NEW PADS were necessary and also I KNEW, that the alignment was good, because the old tires showed even wear. Guess what - a month later(2000 miles) my left tire was completely worn off and needed to be replaced! Tire Kingdom HAD WRECKED the alignment to make me buy it and pay for it. The next time I took my car to Tire Kingdom for tire change, I was called an hour later and they told me the injectors of my car were clogged and needed repair! Why, the ***, were they messing with my injectors, anyway - I left my car for a tire change?! This time I was afraid to say "no", because I knew they would wreck the injectors to prove they needed replacement(the same way they did with the alignment) and put me in a big trouble, so I said "OK" and they "repaired" the injectors and charged my $900! Thieves! My car had been running perfectly and the gas mileage was perfect before Tire Kingdom got a hold of it. As a result of this experience, I found out, that Tire Kingdom Screw their clients for money, making them pay for unnecessary repairs! Thieves! Do NOT go there!

in most states, you connat buy a vehicle until you are 18. you can provide the money, but it would have to be in a parent's name.

as for the cost of insurance, it depends on the make and model and year of the vehicle. a newer vehicle will be more expensive due to the additional coverages you would want such as comprehensive and collision as well as liability. if an older vehicle, it may be too expensive to purchase collision and/or comprehensive so you would just get liability. rates will vary from company to company with some being cheaper than others.

also, if you have drivers education you can get a discount on liability, as well as for drug education, and multi-car discounts on your parent's insurance.rather than buying a seperate policy, get it on your parents policy and you will be rated on their vehicle so you can drive it as well, though you inform the insurance company that you have a seperate vehicle that you will drive.don't buy a car just to learn to be a better driver, but so you will have your own car. driving it will give you the advantage of getting more experience as well as provide you seperate transportation.

TIRE KINGDOM RIPS OFF RECOVERING BREAST CANCER PATIENT

I bought $530 worth of tires from TIRE KINGDOM with their credit card. Got a coupon for oil change and free rotation, on tires I bought from them. When I was getting oil change, they didn't tell me the air filter needed to be replaced, but darn sure told me that the serpentine belt needed to be replaced, I have SUPERIOR credit so applied for their card to pay for the belt. Made an appointment and then they say the filter needs changing, I was just their 3 days before. I said ok, add it to the credit card. I was told the credit card was the same as 6 months cash. Got my second bill today and found out they are LIARS......I am being charged interest. I am so upset that they would treat me this way, the guy in front of the store knew I was a recovered breast cancer patient, so I guess they thought it would be okay to RIP ME OFF. What really bites is I had a zero interest credit card in my purse that I would have used if I had know they were BS-ing me. I am one very upset customer.

Why I went back to these guys after the bad experience I had a couple years ago, I'll never know. But I definately won't be buying anything from them anytime soon, and I'll tell you why.

Tire Kingdom is running a "sale" that reads: Buy 2 Tires, Get 2 FREE. The sale runs from December 7th to December 31st. Of course there are "terms and conditions" and they read as follows: Buy 2 get 2 FREE tire sale valid on purchase of a set of four select in stock Yokohama, Cooper (excludes Trendsetter SE), Pirelli Scorpion ATR, Nitto Crosstek and Sumitomo radials with purchase of a premium tire installation package and Roadside Assistance for each tire and a one year wheel alignment policy on same vehicle at time of purchase Wednesday December 7th through Saturday December 31st, 2001 ONLY. No carryouts. Not valid with any other tire discount or offer. While supplies last. See store for details. No cash value.

Yes, you definately have to "see store for details" because, at least with the tires that I was looking at, they need to explain to you that this sale actually doesn't apply (and they don't give you "details" as to why).

I'm looking at replacing the tires on my SUV. I did a lot of research on several tires (I research everything before I buy it) and had it narrowed down to 3-4 different models. Two of them (Nitto and Pirelli) were supposedly on their Buy 2 get 2 FREE sale. I went in yesterday to get some pricing and see the tires for myself, but while in the store I found out that the Nitto's were actually Buy 3 get 1 free. I asked why, and didn't get an answer except for....."that's just the way it is". I asked about the Pirelli and was told that that tire wasn't a good fit for my truck and at that point the saleperson tried pushing me into Michelins (which was 1 of the tires that I was looking at anyway, but wasn't included in the "sale"). I said that I was interested in the LTX M/S and was told that they didn't have them in stock and was pushed into something different. Said I wasn't interested in something different so we went back to the Nitto Crosstek's (which ARE listed in the Buy 2 get 2 FREE sale........but for some reason they can't honor that). They have a set of 4 on display in the sales room but I noticed that the Nitto's the salesperson listed on my sheet were the Crosstek CUV's and not the truck/SUV tires that were on the showroom floor. I was told that they didn't have the SUV/Truck version in my size but that there was NO difference between the 2 tires and that they had the same tred pattern. Well, during my research, I found out that wasn't the case at all (the CUV is more of a passanger tire for a Crossover vehicle and the SUV has more meat and a deeper tread, or, more of a truck tire) and I questioned the salesperson on it. At that time I was basically told that I didn't know what I was talking about and to leave it to the "tire experts" there at the store. So, I asked them to bring one out, in my size, and line it up next to the tire in the showroom. Once they did, and saw the obvious differences, all they said was "Oh.....jeeeez."

We then went back to the Pirelli's (that I was originally told weren't good for my truck but since it looked like I was going to leave, all of a sudden they were OK) and eventually found out that they didn't have my size in stock which meant that the sale wouldn't apply (which, if it ended up being like the Nitto's, the sale wouldn't have applied anyway).

I then asked if they had ANYTHING in my tire size, in stock, that was part of the Buy 2 get 2 FREE sale and was told "no" - except for the Nitto Crosstek's, that ARE listed on the sale, but they will only do a buy 3 get 1 free deal.

So.......Back to the Michelins. While looking over what they had, I noticed something on a sheet that they printed out that the sales people are getting "spiffs" (commission) of 6.50 per tire for every Michelin tire they sell. -No wonder they were pushing Michelins!

I also found out that, even IF they had something in my size in the Buy 2 get 2 FREE sale, once you buy the "Premium tire installation package, the Roadside Assistance, and the One Year Wheel Alignment policy", you actually end up spending way more than if you had just purchased 4 tires to begin with - especially if you buy them during their "normal" sale prices (because all of their tires are jacked up in price for this sale). A couple months ago, I looked at the Nitto's and they were selling for 168.00 per tire. Today, with the Buy 2 get 2 FREE "sale", they are selling for 214.00 each.

Needless to say, I walked out very disapointed.

But not as dissapointed as I was when I walked out a couple years ago when I put new tires on my 540i Sport. When they mounted those tires (Michelin Pilot Sports at about 300.00 a piece), they put the weights on the OUTSIDE of the rim. When I went to pick the car up and noticed all these black weights stuck to my polished alum rims, I turned to the manager and said THAT'S how you mount and balance tires on people's cars???". I then asked them to take the weights off and do it right (placing the weights on the INSIDE of the rim so they can't be seen). When I came back to get the car, all 4 of my rims (650.00 a piece for the back rims and 600.00 a piece for the front from BMW) had huge gouges/scratches etched out on the rim where the weights were because they used a hammer and screwdrivere to remove the weights! I fought with the manager (who is no longer there) and she said there was nothing they could do about it.

I went back today to give them another chance and see if (perhaps) it was just a bad salesperson I got yesterday, but no...........I got the same speech from a different person, and NO explanation as to why the Nitto Crosstec's that ARE listed on the Buy 2 get 2 FREE "sale", are actually NOT on the sale.

So, if anyone out there is in the market for new tires...........................I wouldn't recommend Tire Kingdom. Not even to my worst enemy.

-I will NEVER go back (and I mean it this time). What a SCAM.

What does being a "recovering breast cancer patient" have to do with your complaint? You think they targeted you because of this? Maybe it was because of your immature mental capacity.

Tire Kingdom in Bradenton Fl

Paid for a tire rotation and balance due to a shimmy in the front and was told my front wheel bearing was bad. $375.00 later I drive off. Went back as the next day as it didn't fix the problem and now the traction control light was on. Now they say my rear wheel bearing is bad and the rim is bent. Well they never rotated and balance to start with and when I went to the Cadillac dealer I was told the rear wheel bearing was good and they didn't reset the computer when the screwed me out of the front bearing. They are crooks!! Beware

Won't resolve their mistake ...

They ruined a set of tires, yet say they only helped me ... I went in for front brakes and due to a Tech misreading the ticket, sent the vehicle to the alignment rack after completing the brakes ... once they were made aware that no alignment was asked for they removed it (apparently mid alignment) which had altered the perfectly fine alignment ... destroying the brand new tires. Since the tires were not purchased through them and they can not get them they felt they need not do anything about the tires. Feel free to stop by http://tirekingdom.us/ or https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tire-Kingdom-Reviews/165971****02860 and share your story.

Stop blaming Tire Kingdom for your driving habits. Do you realize how dumb that sounds?

If your alignment was " perfect " then the alignment machine would have been all green meaning there would have been no need to make any adjustments. But seeing as they continued to align the vehicle ( even tho it was a mistake) that means the alignment was not "perfect" and requires some adjustments.

So how can you say it's there fault when your the one that drives the car and if the alignment was out the vehicle would in most cases pull to one side or the other. Instead of coming back and having the problem fixed you wait till the tires are bald and then try to blame Tire Kingdom for your once again driving habits or lack there of.

Tire Kingdom messed up my car and were very rude + false advertisement

On 8/21/2011 I brought my car into the Tire Kingdom location at 19571 State Road 7 Boca Raton, FL 33498 to get an alignment. I was later told that the alignment could not be done because there was an issue with the control arm of the car which apparently was noticed while trying to perform an alignment. Now to better explain this issue I should describe the prior issues that occurred with Tire Kingdom's service. In February I brought my vehicle in for an alignment and oil change; I was told that my tires were in great shape and that there were no problems with the car. Less than a month later I noticed that my vehicle was pulling and jerking a lot and I went back to the shop to have them take a look at the car. I am a premed college student and my class schedule is very packed, therefore it is not easy for me to come in at the shops convenience. I arrived at the shop at around 5 PM, and was told that they wouldn't be able to take me in because they were too busy and they were closing at 7 so they wouldn't have time to look at my car. I was told to return another day. I returned on several occasions, and every time was told the same thing: that they would not take me in and would not see me. Meanwhile several months had gone by and the pulling and jerking got much worse and I noticed that my front tires were completely worn and there was no tread left on them whatsoever. In February the tires were in perfect condition. I asked for them to redo the alignment on the car and told them that I have had to leave and come back on numerous occasions and now the problem with the vehicle was getting out of hand. They refused to take my car in to redo an alignment or perform an oil change on the car, or to even look at the car for that matter unless I agreed to get the front tires changed. I got my tires replaced at Costco. About two weeks later, on 8/21/2011 I returned to Tire Kingdom to get my alignment redone under warranty and within a few hours of leaving my car received a phone call from them telling me that the control arm on the car was broken and that it would be impossible for them to redo an alignment. I questioned why they had not mentioned any issues when they had performed the initial alignment service in February and was told that it was my problem and that it broke afterwards. I'm only 18 years old and I am a college student; I don't really know much about the mechanics of an automobile, but at this point I was questioning whether an alignment was even done in February, since no print out proving that the service was done was ever given to me. Today when I came into pick up my car, I came in with my dad and my dad questioned them about the alignment done in February and why no printout was given and they could not offer any answer and instead became very rude and began telling him that everything was done properly and that the issue with the car occurred after the February service and when we mentioned the numerous times I tried to return to get the car checked out, they very rudely told me that it was my problem and that I should have made time to wait and to come in. Then some man who was not even involved in the original conversation rudely butted in and began to blame me for the whole issue and told me that if I want to get the car fixed that it would cost me $450. They became very rude to my dad who was just trying to get some information on the issue and seeing them being so rude to him enraged me and I flipped. I have never experienced such appalling customer service anywhere. But this is not the only issue I have experienced with them. The time that I came in in June to get my tires replaced and oil changed, they first of all refused to check the car out or perform an alignment or do anything to the car until I agreed to get my tires done. When I asked them for a quote on the oil change and presented a 50% off coupon that I had, the price they named me was pretty much the equivalent of the original price. When I questioned why this was I was told that all the labor and different services that would be included would cost me extra. This was a complete false advertisement on their part.

You seriously are mad because you couldn't get your car to them in a timely manner? Why didn't you ask your dad to maybe drop the car off earlier, when they could have looked at it.

If they did not give you a print out about the earlier alignment, why didn't you ask for it.

My goodness, you say you are pre-med, this means you are an adult, start acting like one and take some initiative and some responsibility for your life. Daddy won't always be there to back you up you know.

Tire Kingdom Is awful and liars

The tire kingdom in west ashley part of charleston sc is a scam. They tried to tell me my truck needed over a grand in repairs and also told me my rotors and brakes were no good when i just changed them 6 months ago. I do most of the work on my truck so I know they were lying. They also took 4 hours to put two tires on my truck when it should take less than a hour. After changing the tires on the truck they didnt even put the spare tire back under the truck where it belongs they just trew it in the bed. There empoyless are useless and dont know what theyre talking about. I will never let them touch any of my vehices again.
